Ok, I'll admit that I know Thai food fairly well. \r \r I've been to Thailand several times and even took a Thai cooking class.\r \r My Pad Thai is better than theirs. \r \r I know what is missing from theirs. Namely, fresh peppers and lemongrass/lime and quite possibly fish sauce (at the least). \r \r So it's weak on the sour/pungent scale in thai cooking.\r \r It was also a bit heavy on the thai chili sauce you can buy in the Mae Sri bottle for $1.50. \r \r That's the easy way out in cooking pad thai. I know because I do it when I don't have the right ingredients.\r \r It's a bit like smothering meatloaf with ketchup when\r you do that.\r \r Other than that, it was prepared well enough with fresh ingredients and with a nice consistency for the noodles, just an extremely unbalanced flavor.\r \r I told them I was familiar with Thai food and ordered it medium hot and got something with just the right amount of sniffle, but they just used way too much of that sweet chili sauce to get there. \r \r I would have preferred more fresh pepper.\r \r I'd be willing to go back to try other dishes, though, since they could be much better with curries for example.\r \r It's just that pad thai is my personal acid test for whether the cook is paying attention and I can definitely make better pad thai myself.\r \r Pros: Menu and Decor look good. Generous portion, good price. Cons: Pad Thai was average (lunch takeout)
