This is the worst experience I've had at a doctors office. I was looking for a thorough, compassionate doctor that would help me with my severe irritable bowel disease. It's ruining the quality of my life. I made an appointment, they asked me to bring in my past test results so I did. As I waited to see the doc, the office manager and the doc decided to reject my case and said they couldn't and wouldn't help me. This was so upsetting because I was so sick with cramping, nausua, weight loss and diarrhea that I could hardly drive myself to their office. I was sent on my way with a ""rejected"" stamp on my files. I can't believe this doctor wouldn't even give me 15 min. of his time to let me explain my symptoms. I got back in my car and just cried because I so wanted and needed to find a doctor that would help me. My daughter called a few days later to get an explanation. She was told that the doc doesn't do second opinions and IBS is very hard to treat and it's his right to refuse patients. She tried to explain to the office manager that I was extremely sick and emotional but the manager wouldn't let her talk. When she tried to get a word in, the manager insulted her then hung up on her. I'm not exaggerating, these are the facts, as hard as it is to believe. My quest continues to find a caring, thorough physician that will give me 15 minutes of his or her time, wish me luck, take care!
