Hickory Park is the hotspot in Ames when it comes to BBQ! Wether its beef, chicken or pork, you're sure to find a taste that meets your expectations. The unique atmosphere is fun and lively and the service is top notch. You'll have your choice of over 100 different menu items, not including over 50 different kinds of thick Hickory Park shakes or ice cream desserts. Hickory Park is most known for it's famous "Saucy Southener", however. It's a pulled meat sandwich with your choice of mild, medium or hot and spicy BBQ sauce. Come early because the wait can sometimes leave you standing for 40-50 minutes!
