Wished i would have seen the reviews first. We purchased a Sweet 16 cake for our daughters birthday and what a dissapointment it ended up being. The party was a big hit but the cake was not so. When we cut into the cake and served it to the first few guess you could see it all over their faces that this cake was not so SWEET matter of fact it was like a soild piece of dough. You could actully take the cake and form it into a ball as of it was cookie dough. We took the cake back to EdibleArt and was meet by the owner, whom I explained the problem too and she informed me that it is a very dense pound cake like grandma makes and it comes from a old family reciept. I told her that you could form dough balls out of the cake, and she asked me if I ever had pound cake before, and i said yes and her response to me is ""well i guess you just don.t like pound cake"". The truth of the matter is my mother was a pastry chlef her entirer life and i must say i do miss her pound cake. So i guess i just dont care for your pound cake that is nothing but a 10 pound lead wieght. Spent $130 dollars on this cake only to find we wasted a $130. Unless you have the money to throw down the drain don't buy a cake from Edible Art.
