My child was in this daycare for almost 2 years, only because it was close to my work and I could visit throughout the day to check on him. While the basic care was adequate, the director could not have been much more unprofessional. I can't tell you how many times I overheard her bad mouthing other parents behind their backs or just acting unprofessional in general. The center also raised their rates by an exhorbitant amount ($60 per month) with little notice, when their rates were already higher than most in the area. Even so, we applied for the wait list for our unborn baby to begin in the fall, so that I could visit her throughout the day when she was small - and the director said that it would be absolutely no problem to get her in. \r \r We then moved our son to a daycare near our house that was far cheaper (more than $200 per month less), and, in my opinion, far superior. We have NEVER had a problem with them and they have bent over backwards to accomodate anything we have asked. We told FBCCC that we still planned to have our baby attend there in the fall. A month before he birth, I contacted FBCCC to verify her spot and got NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER from the director. After her birth, I made arragements for my daughter to attend the daycare my son was attending, and contacted FBCCC to let them know we had made other arrangements since they could not be bothered to respond to my messages. The director IMMEDIATELY wrote back saying that she was sorry that they didn't have a spot for my daughter (news to me!). It's a good thing I had made other arrangements (arrangements I am actually much happier with now), since FBCCC didn't even have the decency to contact me in advance, knowing I was on their ""wait list,"" knowing the start date I required, and having told me previously that it was pretty much guaranteed, to let me know that they had given my spot away. \r \r It's sad, because there were a couple of teachers there that I did really like, and I would have actually told them goodbye (rather than ""see you in the fall"") had I known we wouldn't be returning with my daughter. Now I wouldn't step foot in the place, even to do that. I'm ultimately better off, and my kids are in a MUCH better daycare, so I guess Carol Wood (the extremely unprofessional director) did me a favor.
