I've had my hair cut with Fay three times now. She's very nice, and the salon has a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. The haircuts have been... good but not amazing. Once, I had to go back the next day because she'd missed a chunk behind the ear. I think she's more comfortable with giving you a style that you show her in a photo as opposed to suggesting something for you. However, one big plus is that her cuts grow out really well-- they seem to end better than they start even! I kept going back for this reason, for the very convenient Harvard Square location, and the reasonable price. I may try another place, but this is a pretty decent fallback. Honestly, if you know exactly what you want and can communicate it clearly, Fay would probably be fine. I think my problem was just that I didn't know what I was looking for.
