Skip this school. I read the other bad reviews on here & they are true. I toured the school & this place is a dump! You walk in, it's dark & I don't mean no lights, I mean in the sense that there is a coldness, no warmth or good vibes at all. The color of the place is kinda dark, not very uplifting or happy colors, it's depressing. I talked with Vincent, the owners son in his office & it reeked of mold! The place is not clean looking & all the furniture, lights, etc. are very old looking, junky. Some thing's actually look broken & torn. The pedi station is a joke! They don't have actual pedi chairs like you expect. The station is old 70's looking random chairs for clients. The student has a wheel around seat but also has to fill up plastic basin tubs for pedicures. They looked scruffy and dirty. That is gross! Plastic holds bacteria longer for 1 & 2, that is hard to fill up & lug around & 3, why not invest in REAL pedi chairs with the built in whirlpool foot soakers? They take your money & don't put it back into this place. & it would also be beneficial for students to learn on real pedi spa stations since that's what they will be using after they graduate & start working. So he gives me the tour. He goes over the costs of tuition & things & then tells me, the first 4 Saturday's a new student starts school, on all of those Saturday's I must bring a friend or family member with me to do 2 different sets of nails on. The first person comes the 1st Saturday & gets a gel set, then comes back in 2 weeks for a fill. The 2nd person comes the next Saturday & gets an acrylic set & then comes back in 2 weeks for their fill. But this is only after 4 days of class people! Since this is the first time for students putting nails on, these poor people you have to bring & poor students too cause this is torture, but that person has to sit there for 6 hours to get it done! Saturday class is 9-3. I asked why do they have to be here all day? He actually got quite snippy & rude & raised his voice saying, ""have you ever put on a set of nails?"" I said no. He said, ""well it's going to take you that long to do them, that's why they have to be here all day"" ""you're going to have to make some kind of commitment to this class"" I was like wtf! 1st of all, if it takes a student 6 hours to put on a set of nails & to fill them, clearly they are not ready to put nails on people so why make anyone go through that for 6 hours? I sure don't want to sit 6 hours to get my nails done. It's the students 5th day, they are no where near ready for that! That's why it takes 6 hours to do it you moron! A new student is supposed to put in 100 hours before doing services on people. This told me that all this school is into is getting the students on the floor asap so they can start doing clients & make money for the school. Why else would they make anyone go through that for 6 hours? That's ridiculous! If you read more of these reviews, you'll see more from former students who say the same thing, they make students work on clients way before they put in 100 hours & before they are even ready. They are just a greedy little s**t hole & could care less if the student is ready or if the client gets a good service. You're not going to get the education you need from them. They are not up on any new techniques. Right now the rage is Shellac so I asked if they taught this, his answer was no of course. If this is the new rage & it's what people are looking for & really want, why not teach it? They are too cheap to invest in the products! I did a little test. I searched for people on facebook who went to this school & sent them messages asking about their experience & all of them said they do NOT recommend this place & that I'd be better off going somewhere else. Just trust me, save yourself the time & skip this place!
