Review content:
I used to love Bethel Bakery until I ordered my son's first birthday cake from them(July 2010). I drove 45 mins. in the car to order the cake and to take a picture that I had for thedecorator to follow. The cake was a pretty easy design for a ""Prince"" theme in shades of blues and a little yellow. I paid $87.00 for a PURPLE cake, that looked like my preschooler had written on. ""Happy 1st Birthday"" was printed and UNCAPITALIZED. It looked like they ran out of room so my son's name was scrunched to fit. The piping and the crown on the cake were uneven and off centered. It basically looked like a cake from someone's kitchen. \r My friend had the same Prince theme, got the cake from Costco for $17.00 and it was cuter than my $87.00 one. \r The cake itself was fresh and able to be eaten. When I complained they credited me $25.00 . Needless to say, they are not going to see me again. Wasn't worth the travel time or the money. I now agree with the other reviews and I think they are overrated. I was very disappointed and I don't think that I am difficult to please, I just can't relive my son's first birthday and I'm embarrassed to even put the pictures of his cake in a photo album! Pros: The cake was edible. Cons: It was poorly decorated.
