Review content:
My boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious evening at Rocco's Grill for Valentine's Day and our seven year anniversary. The food was exceptional and the best we have had in Austin after four years of searching. The ambiance was romantic and creative, but the food is what made the evening special. We started with the fried ravioli which was excellent, perfectly crisp and not greasy in the least. I had the Pasta Johnny and my boyfriend had the Pollo Piazza. Both dishes were head and shoulders above any other Italian food I have had in the Austin area. It is apparent that painstaking attention has been given to ingredient choice and preparation technique. We finished with the Miles of Chocolate and the berry creme brulee. For creme brulee lovers, this was a special treat -- crisp on top and a slice of heaven on the cool, creamy bottom. I cannot wait for my next meal at Rocco's Grill, and the 30 minute drive between Lakeway and my South Austin apartment shall not stop me. It is well worth the drive. Pros: Amazing bread, delicious sauces, dreamy creme brulee. Cons: Distance
