I am a frequent shopper at this Dollar General and think it is a nice new store and majority of employees are wonderful and so helpful. However there is one employee who is horrible!!!
I know another person commented on this and I will just go on and say this rude (and down right mean) employees name, RUBY. She is so disrespectful and has no manners! What is wrong with this woman?
I have gotten a tiny bit of her snappy behavior before and have seen first hand many others experience it as well. I chose to ignore it in the past, just assuming she was having a bad day or stressed, but today she went too far!!
I bought a considerable amount of items and as she was finishing with the customer ahead of me, I began placing my items on counter, where I could pay attention as she ran prices and not be still unloading items. Well, boy did I get in trouble! Ruby barked at me, ""DON'T PLACE ANY MORE OF YOUR STUFF ON THIS COUNTER!!!""
The lady in front of me just looked at me wide eyed, as she was also disgusted with this employee (she was given wrong change and when she corrected Ruby about it being wrong, was also barked at). I was humiliated and furious. I honestly would have left and not bought my items, but was running late to a party and needed em.
I shop here b/c of convenience, but really their prices are no better than Walmart and the convenience isn't worth being treated like a dog just to give em my hard earned money.
I bet I spend roughly $100/week at this particular store, but won't be returning till this woman is given, at the least, a customer service course.
I'm also in customer service and if I behaved the way she does constantly, I would be fired.
Always dread when she checks me out (as I've heard many others do as well), but it's one thing to be unfriendly, but another to just be nasty to those providing you a job and livelihood.
Don't know what's going on with her, but she should not be in a role dealing with people. She is a mean spirited person and although the other employees are great, it's not worth her nasty disposition!!!!!
