Review content:
You don't come to ""Broken Down"" for the ambience. You come to get your car fixed right at a decent price. When I was first recommended to this place about 5 years ago, I was hesitant to give it a try. I was certainly surprised from the start. Dennis is honest, trustworthy, reasonable and even suggests ways to further save you money by suggesting you buy the parts and bring them in. Since then, I have recommended this place to many of my friends. It's hard to find a good mechanic in Austin who is good and reasonable. However, I've found one in Dennis at Broken Down and will continue to use him. Pros: Honest and reasonable (with car repair, this is sometimes an oxymoron). Cons: Ambience and small garage with limited test equipment.
