Review content:
I am a sushi snob. Having eaten at some of the top places in Japan, there are only a few sushi places in NY into which I would even venture to step. Thus, I certainly did not expect much from the sushi in a Chinese/Japanese/Thai restaurant. We came here one day when we were hungry and didn't feel like spending a lot. The place is fairly new and very modern. The space is very comfortable. The service is not particularly attentive, but acceptable. What surprised me was the quality of the sushi, which was $1 a piece ($3-$5 for most rolls) including a number of the upscale varieties. The salmon roe, smoked salmon, yellowtail, eel and scallop were particularly good. The tuna, white tuna, salmon and giant clam were not remarkable but certainly acceptable. The rolls were decent as well. In addition to the sushi we had a Thai beef sate style appetizer. It was quite good. Overall, this proved to be above average food at a below average price.
