Antone's Tap Room looks like a neighborhood bar, but step into the back & 1 is greeted by a dimly-lit dining rm w/ high ceilings, stone fire place & cloth-covered tables.
Service is casual, accommodating & friendly.
In addn to their lg selection of beer, w/ many good choices on draught, Antone's also has a nice selection of food.
Crisp calamari, sprinkled w/ balsamic vinegar & tomatoes was savory & delicious. Oysters Rockefeller were outstanding & we would have liked to have had 2 orders for our table, but had to be satisfied w/ 1, since they quickly ran out.
Drunken clams cooked in beer w/ garlic & basil were outstanding & the broth made for good dunking with a Italian bread.
Scallops & fish were overcooked, but the accompanying vegs were nicely seasoned, tender-crisp & fresh.
Delicious choc bread pudding was served warm, w/ homemade vanilla ice cream.
Pros: apptizers, gd selec of draught, choc bread pudding
Cons: over-cooked fish, noise level
