Review content:
I went to Mavi this weekend because there's been a lot of buzz about it, especially online and in the Hartford newspapers and magazines. I love the variety of their menu. I don't think that there is anything else in the U.S. that compares to the flavors and beautiful presentation that Mavi's chefs create. Honestly speaking, the portions are so generous that I had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and repeated it again the next night with the left overs. I had the Paris Roll for my appetizer, and the grilled whole Mediterranean sea bass as my main course. The juicy wild duck in the Paris roll was tender and the L'Orange sauce was a perfect compliment. The sea bass was the catch of the day and it was extremely well prepared. It really took me back to a summer I spent on the Greek island of Santorini in college. There is nothing more Mediterranean than a perfectly grilled fish. I gave Mavi 5 stars because the flavor and quality are truly ""on the level"" when it comes to the amazing cuisine of the Mediterranean.
