I would like everyone in Hesperia to be aware that rates for dumping tumbleweeds at this facility have gone up dramatically and you may want to get a $10 burn permit instead. Save yourself gas, time, and MONEY! I just dropped off a small load of tumbleweeds and tree branches weighing about 40 pounds and was charged $16.25. Last time I did this, the fee was only about $10, and the clerk did not charge me because my weight added up to barely anything. Things are different now! They did not consider the fact that I am low income and they will not care if you are a senior citizen on a fixed income struggling to stay in your home. Their reduced rate for trash service to those who qualify has an extremely low threshold, so those needing help don't receive it. They should keep their income guidelines more in sync with the CARE program, or the federal poverty level. The shocking part about the $16.25 fee I was stuck with today was that they gave me no notice of their fees before I dumped the tumbleweeds, they sprang it on me afterwards. They just took my food money.
