Review content:
A close friend decided to have her Rehearsal Dinner at Loon Lake and I was a little worried about the lodge feel for a formal dinner, but they proved me wrong. The table cloths were white with white napkins, so right there it looked the Wedding theme. The wedding party put on a slide show of the bride & groom that played throughout the evening, they said the restaurant supplied the projector and screen, which must have been helpful. We had a private bar for the dinner, our bartender was very nice and suggested this great Pinto Grigio, which of course I don't remember the name. Our server took our dinner order from a personalized menu, (the bride's mom kept a copy for their scrapbook) and was helpful explaining the Simply Fish, where you choose the type of fish and how it is prepared. The Grouper was very fresh and the lemon cream sauce complimented it. We ended with the homemade key lime pie, great for the summertime and I think the grooms family took some home too. It was a very pleasant night and I think the restaurant choice has a lot to do with how smooth this special evening was. I heard more compliments about the rehearsal dinner than the receptions family style service. Pros: Knowledgable service, relaxed or formal atmosphere, awesome menu. Cons: A lot of decisions, desserts are huge.
