Businiess name:  Old Monk (The)

2/28/2011 The Old Monk: Dallas I stopped into this East Dallas tradtion completely by chance. A very good friend of mine was trying to medicate the pain of the loss of a very good freind, and invited me along for the ride. I have been here once or twice, as a bartender on the strip, who met other friends for a cold pint, and good food. The Old Monk is a fixture in East Dallas. The same way college students watch old Bruce Lee films and listen to Vietnam era protest songs while delving through the intricate nature of politics and medicine. This bar/grill should be listed as the number one spot for any traveler in need of a cold pint and good company. I recommend the ice cold Blue Moon, and possible shot of Tuaca with Red Bull. The staff are amazing here. And they make it a point to welcome, road weary travelers like myself with a laurel and a hearty handshake. -Review by Alex Gaddy
