Businiess name:  Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals

Review content:
Blazing Saddles Pier 41 had a super cheerful sales guy pick up the phone when I called to confirm pricing information before showing up. I told him that my niece and nephew are 6 and 8, it is their first time and that I don't know if they'll even fit on a bike or if they'll like it so I asked if I can rent by the hour. He said no problem, it'll be $11 an hour to rent a bike for hourly rental. He was so busy selling me to get me into the store that he didn't bother filling in me in w/the important details regardng my other concerns. My sister and my excited niece and nephew drove down immediately, parked and walked to the Hyde location. Upon arrival, they told me that 6 and 8 year olds are too small for a tandem and that I would have to rent a tag a long. They told me that it is $20 per tag a long for a daily rental and $11 per adult per hour. Then they said there is a two hour minimum on all rentals. So the pricing jumped from $22 to $84 when I put my foot into the door. I called the Pier 41 location and told them what happened. They put me on hold then came back to me and said there is nothing they can do. I asked to speak to that guy and they said ""he went home"". . I asked to talk to the manager and the guy said ""speaking"". I explained the situation and he said that I am wrong and that I must pay the higher fees. I asked for the owners name so I can write him a letter and he hung up on me!!!!! I feel so bad for the tourists that visit our town if these are the tactics this place uses on them to get them in the door. My poor niece and nephew were so excited and they were so let down. What a dishonest scam of a business!!!!!! Please avoid and support the smaller bike shops. Cons: Dishonest . use tourist tactics to get you in. more expensive than other bike shops
