A group of us were in town for the big sur marathon and found Allegra in a local advertisement. Thinking that it would be a great place to carbo load, we all decided to meet there. There were problems from the start. The waitress couldn't manage simple requests such as, ""no ice"" or an ""extra hot"" latte. She became extremely flustered and rude. Then, when we asked that our minestrone soup be heated (it was served luke warm) one of the owners literally rolled his eyes and shook his head at our request. I asked nicely if we had done something to offend him and he began to make extremely rude comments to us. Things got so bad that we had to ask him to step away from our table for fear of our own safely. Needless to say, we spoke with the second owner, who tried to make it better, but who informed us that we had made her staff ""uncomfortable from the beginning""..... We are a group of attractive, smart, kind wonderful gay and straight women who came to a local restaurant for dinner and ended up leaving in tears. If there were an option to give them a zero rating, I would. Please do not give these people the kindness of your business.
