My husband and I have been going to Jim's Place for 25 years. We started our first year of marriage when we lived in Memphis. Yes, it is slightly more expensive but the atmosphere and food are worth it for an occasional special treat or a special occasion. We are going there tonight for Valentine's Day. We now live out of town but still drive to Memphis just to eat there at least 3- times a year. I have tried several items on the menu and all have been delicious. We always get wonderful service and all the servers are very professional. We took some friends there last year on my birthday. They had never been there before and said it was the best restaurant they had ever been to. They asked to go again a few weeks later. I have read some review on here complaining about the different areas to sit. We have sat in every room there is. The so called hallway is a room with tables that are like a patio section. It is perfectly comfortable. What restaurant doesn't have someone walking by to seat another party. It is not a hallway it is a simply the first room you walk through. It has a nice view of the outdoor patio with lights in the trees. If you have not try it please give it a chance. I promise you will not be disappointed. We also have a friend who lives in Arkansas. We meet him in Memphis once a year to visit. We always go to Jim's Place for dinner. It is definitely worth the trip. I am looking forward to a wonderful romantic dinner tonight.
