Growing up I worked @ Fryer Tuck in Beaverton. The Owner made all the coating flour for all the different Fryer Tucks. He sold the company years ago , but the chicken remained good. I stopped at the Cider Mill 3 or 4 years ago , and it was still good chicken spuds , and dip. I stopped in there last week with a group of people , sat down and proceeded to be imediately disappointed by the service. It took forever to get a beer , the waitress had to repeatedly come back to check on what we orderd because I guess she forgot , or couldn't read her writing. It took about 40 minutes to make our food order , not because we didn't know what we wanted , it was because she could never find the time to take our order. So after we gave her our order , another 40 minutes went by before some of us got our food. I was one of us that got there food, the dip tasted like sour cream , the spuds tasted like bland floured potatoes , and the chicken tasted like bland floured-no spices-chicken. The rolls were store bought box rolls , we did not get the choice of coleslaw , beans or potatoe salad , that was suppose to come with the meal. Also 2 people never did get there meal , the couldn't figure out how to get 2 1/2 chickens in a fryer that holds 5 chickens. My suggestion is , that if you liked Fryer Tuck Chicken , you will not find it @ the Cider Mill , but if you like bland food this is your place.
