I'm not a vegetarian, but a trusted vegetarian friend of mine gave this place her word. Still, the dinky outside kept me away a couple months until one night my boyfriend and I decided to dine at Paru's. What a treat! Don't judge a restaurant by it's ""cover"", inside Paru's is wonderfully charming, like a grandparent's living room or a scene from a Wes Anderson film. Pleasant staff and delicious food. Masla Dosa is a must. Mixed vegetable curry, mmm and the best raita (yogurt) I've ever had. Raita with a kick! Highly recommended for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike, you'll leave satisfied and look forward to returning. Cons: don't have many traditional (well, what I know of Indian food from L.A. and London) curries
