Review content:
The introductory interview process left me extremely discouraged. The primary interview was conducted by a gruff, insensitive woman, the medical interview was costly and lasted all of five minutes, and the final meeting was also very brief - pretty much I took time out of work and paid a bunch of money to receive a summary of the previous two visits. My therapist turned out to be a very nice person, but seemed a bit inexperienced and also had trouble staying awake some sessions. We eventually made significant progress, but it took a while. I think I was looking to be challenged more, and instead I was just repeatedly told that I was all right. The office itself is not the most pleasant experience, but it's sufficient considering the semi-affordable cost of the sessions. I would have spent twice as much per session elsewhere, but maybe I would have made twice the progress. But really, it's not that bad. It's an affordable option for the uninsured to get some help. Just be honest and open in your sessions, and do your best to endure the interview process.
