I am new to the area and saw this store, near my home. The "sales" staff were friendly though a little "pushy".
I bought several pieces of furniture. The payments (cash) were made and the delivery set up.
Then the adventure began. . . .
The delivery time came and went. I called and was told that the date was "incorrect". I said I have the paperwork and this is the day. After more than 20 mins. passed. They said they would call me back. 2 hours later they called. They "changed" the date to 2 days later. When my furniture arrived there was one piece missing, one piece damaged and one piece the wrong color.....
I refused shippment on all the pieces.
It took me 3 months to get my money back . . . I had to contact an attorney. Thank the god's I didn't buy on credit.
NEVER! I repete, NEVER, buy anything from Elgin.
I went to ValuCity and got GREAT service.
Pros: There are none
