not to be confused with 'Rome' and Romans.. Rome, NY is about half and hour away.
Utica has no shortage whatsoever of great places to eat, but being a native, an O'Scugnizzo's mushrooms and sausage is de riguer each and every time I get back to visit. Is the secret that the sausage is baked and under the cheese? Is it the sausage itself, with that hint of who know what (fennel ?!?!)? The crust? The sauce? WHO KNOWS, all great stuff, but it's the BEST! Bleeker Street location EXACT perfection. Can't say when the last time I dined in was (many years ago), so no ambience marks. Utica has dozens of pizza options, and I respect my good friends alternatives, but trust me.. this is where it's at!
