I came from Houston wanting some Vietnamese food in Austin. I am Vietnamese and I have to say that this is no where close to authentic (i guess that's not too surprising). i don't mind good americanized food, but this food here is just nasty. the rice is too dry, so is the vermicilli. i had 2 traditional Vietnamese dishes, and they were both failures. it seemed like this restaurant is trying to cut corners on quality. the food seemed like it all came from a can, and the fish fillets were not high quality. it wasn't even whole fish on bone. just not traditional, nor authentic. it was terrible. i really wanted to have some good homemade Vietnamese food or even Chinese food, but since i picked one of the most traditional dishes on the menu, i can predict that none of the other dishes are up to par as well. i will never go back, EVER. the service was also very bad! i was surprised at how cold and stand-offish the workers there were to me. the only nice person was a Mexican man. the Vietnamese people there were so rude. unless you have no knack of what real Vietnamese food should taste like, i guess you wouldn't mind going here. i think that's what the people that go there are. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT REAL ASIAN FOOD! you definitely won't find the Houston food you're looking for here either. Pros: nothing? Cons: a wide variety of nasty, service, food, VALUE, WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
