Review content:
Last week a group of students with disabilities was kicked out of Orland Square Mall for using visual supports to find different stores in the mall. Management said they were conducting an activity that was not approved by mall management. They were told if they would like to come back for this type of community-based learning, they needed to have mall approval. I will never set foot in this mall again based on such insensitive and discriminatory behavior. The students were well behaved and looking at pictures on clipboards learning how to find stores. Treating these students as unwelcome in a public mall is unacceptable.
