Businiess name:  Pompetti Heating & Air Conditioning

Review content:
We hired Jim Pompetti to do an assessment of our steam heat system for $350. The written report he produced was not so much an assessment as an itemized estimate for what it would cost for him to do the work he felt was necessary. It provided only vague information about the problems with our system, with items such as, ""Correct piping,"" and ""poor insulation"" without any additional explanation or specifics. After I called and left a message that I wanted to speak with him because I was not satisfied with the written report, he came to our house unannounced to refund our money because it was inconceivable to him that his report could be unsatisfactory. I convinced him to sit down and talk with me so I could explain why I was not satisfied with the report, and when I explained that the report was lacking in specific information, he quipped that what I wanted was ""fluff,"" and insulted me and my profession by stating that, because I am an attorney, I ""write fluff.""
