I purchased ""The Elf on the Shelf"" ...I assumed that the $39.95 price was with a 30% discount since it was displayed on a shelf marked ""30% off."" After the transaction had been performed and I realized I did not get the discount...I questioned the sales assistant whose response was ""that item was not included."" That same day at a children's shop several miles away I saw the same item for $29.95 ($10 cheaper!) Upon returning to Upstate New York I found the item at Hallmark, Borders, and the RSH catalog for $29.95 also. I noticed ""No Returns"" on the sales receipt.
