I've written off using chain stores to service my Acura. The fact is if you use non-OEM parts on your Acura it will run suboptimally and shorten the life of the car. Acura's require the use of Honda Transmission Fluid to shift properly. Good luck finding a lube shop that even knows such a thing exists. They'll just dump the cheap stuff in and your transmission will shift roughly and tens of thousands of miles will be taken off the life of your tranny. Same thing with spark plugs go to a chain shop and they'll put in some off brand of plugs in your car. This will cause sub-optimal combustion. Will gum up your engine over time, lower fuel economy, and cause costly repairs down the road. Acuras need NGK plugs. So how are you supposed to know all this? Take it to someone who specializes in Acura/Honda cars and will use the proper fluids/parts. As far as the owner he is a no nonsense guy who will talk to you straight. No slimy nice guys who smile while ripping you off here. The prices are reasonable, well below what the dealer charges. Also I would trust the mechanic to check out say the brake pads and tell me honestly if they need replacing or not. Go to a chain brake place and they will find something wrong with your brakes if you ask that question. If you own an Acura/Honda you owe it yourself and your car to take it to a place that specializes in that car. Your car will run better and longer. I recommend this shop I experienced good honest service, and I know the shop uses the parts my Acura needs. Pros: Honest, Uses OEM parts, Clean Shop, Reasonable Prices Cons: Nondescript building
