First let me start by saying the pictures are all bogus. The 1st one isnt even luxor!! All the others are from atleast 2 years ago b4 they renovated. I have been to luxor several times over the years and it has gotten worse, especially since the owners son took over. Recently a few freinds of mine decided they wanted to smoke so i decided to give luxor one last shot and took them there. Boy was that a mistake!! First, we asked the bouncer if we had to pay a cover. He said no but informed us that their was a $10-$15 minimum per person depending on where we sat. It struck me as odd but he explained that they had done renovations. My freinds agreed so he checked our id's and gave us this stupid unhappy face stamp. That shoulda been a warning as to what was to come!! The place was way to dark and didnt have proper ventilation. The 2 waitreses were sitting at the bar talking and smoking. None even attempted to seat us, to involved in there own convo. Finally 1 girl came and seated us. It was a friday nite around 11 and the place was pretty empty save for a bunch of kids drinking!! The owners son was sitting down with them Bsing! After we sat it took the girl another 10-15 minutes to come ask if we were ready to order and she did it with an attitude! We all decided to take the high road and not complain. Some of my freinds decided to go for a smoke outside and the waitress followed them out and told the bouncer to watch them cause they just orderd and hadnt paid yet. That was uncalled for. They asked the bouncer about the 4 shots for $10 and he told them it was at the bar so ask the waitress if they can have them at the table. Instead my freinds just decided to go to the bar and ask the bartender. The bartender caught an attitude with them!! She was rude, unprofessional, and just plain nasty for no reason!! Then when she poured the drinks they gave her $10 and she said ""no its $12"". They asked why and she said 15% gratuity on all drinks at the bar!! Ive never even heard of that BS!!! We decided at that point to cancel our hookah order, finish our drinks and leave asap. When we called our waitress over she seemed annoyed that we were cutting in to her BS time with the bartender and came over with an attitude again. We asked her for the check. It took her another 10 minutes to give it to us and she didnt say thank you. Another surprise awaited us when we got the check to see that a 20% service charge was added to the bill which again we were not informed of. Im a big tipper, but the girls there didnt deserve a tip! They were terrible servers, the drinks were weak, they were miserable and had attitudes for no reason and one of my freinds orderd a jack and coke and swears that it wasnt jack! It seems as if they are pouring well liquor into top shelf bottles and charging for it!! We left pretty pissed. Since a month ago when this all happened ive spoken to several people that i know go there and they all said they had similar experiences there as of late. I suggest you go to any hookah bar but luxor lounge. The hookahs arent that great anymore and they have a B rating from the dept of health so i wouldnt eat there. The service is the worst ive seen with the girls having attitudes and acting like they run the place, especially the bartender whom im told goes by the name T so as not to refer to her as the black girl. The owners son allows NYU kids, under age, to drink all nite!! In fact, i had my first underage drink in this stinkhole!! I second danid26 in his post that they con u and rip u off and like i stated b4, my freind is positive they r using well liquor in the top shelf bottles!! Im sorry i gave it another shot! By the way, 4 shots of well liquor for $10 is not a deal! You can prob get the bottle of well they use for less then $10 at the store! This used to be one of my favorite spots. But after the BS the last couple of times, i will never go there again!!!
