Businiess name:  Luxor Lounge

Review content:
I took an unexpected trip to the Luxor Lounge a few years ago, and I enjoyed my visit, so I went back last night. First off, I don't know what bouncer everyone is talking about, there was no one. I'm guessing the place is a madhouse on Fri/Sat., so maybe they need one then? Secondly, they have signs up that say the bathrooms are for customers only, and you need ID, so don't try marching in there like a total a-hole expecting them to just take it. Be nice! I was surprised by the renovations, which seemingly cut the original lounge in half, but it still retains it's coziness despite being small. It undoubtedly gets crowded on busy nights, so watch out during peak hours Fri/Sat or you might get squished. The decor was relaxed and the seating comfortable (but somewhat sparse once all the Valentines started coming through the door), the music a mix of modern electronica, hip-hop/reggae, and some Eastern selections, creating a chill and sociable atmosphere. Our waitress checked our ID's as soon as we sat, and took some sort of notes on them, so I doubt I would've been served any liquor. Still, there's a one drink minimum and plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. I'm a picky eater, and although I didn't eat anything because I had eaten already, I was tempted to order something due to their somewhat ""Americanized"" selection. The hookahs were very nice, good quality tobacco, the coals didn't ruin the flavor, and we were served what we asked for promptly despite the fact that there were only two people running the place. On the busy nights, you may only be allowed to stay for an hour (for capacity reasons obviously), some of the minimums go up slightly, and arriving with a large group may incur other fees. Their selections of tobacco flavors (I recommend Mint if you like hookah) and alcoholic beverages are pretty good, and I believe drinks are a dollar cheaper some nights if you pay with cash. I'm not sure if that was a Valentine's Day special or something, but regardless don't be afraid to rub some elbows! I would recommend you give this place a try. :D
