The atmosphere was just right -classic rock that wasn't blaring, pool table in the back, a few regulars at the bar, and the not too talkative yet pretty friendly waitress.
This seemed to be my kind of place, and it turns out I was right.
We all ordered classic cheeseburgers. Let me tell you, when they say 'classic' cheesburger, they mean it. You just don't find burgers like this anymore. They were HUGE (easily dwarfing any burger at most fast food joints), made FRESH, and FULL of flavor. Oh, and they weren't really all that greasy, either, so the sandwich did not fall apart halfway through eating it (which is my #1 pet peeve at burger joints).
The fries that came with it were cut in their kitchen (or at least seemed that way). No frozen fries here. That made the meal all the better.
Fries were not the only offering for a side dish: You can choose potato salad, fries, or cole slaw. We all had fries.
Overall, the experience was fun and fulfilling, and we didn't really spend any more than we would have at a fast food stand.
They also have a wide selection of other foods such as buffalo shrimp, chicken wings, etc.
