I had a haircut with Nathalie, and unfortunately, it was the 2nd worst haircut I have ever had in my life. And it's only the 2nd worst because the 1st worst haircut took slightly longer to grow out. I have no idea what people are talking about raving about this salon or Nathalie. First of all, she overcut my hair - I told her I wanted to grow it out but that I just wanted more layers to do so (I had shoulder-length hair or just past my shoulders at the time with not a whole lot of layers). Mind you, even though I needed a cut, I had had, 6 months prior, an amazing haircut (with razor technique) by a ""trendy"" stylist. So Nathalie basically had a blank canvas to start with... Back to the drama... she went ahead and cut at LEAST 2/3 of my hair at my ears, and left the lowest meagre layer(s) about an inch above my shoulders. NOT a good look at all! And then, to make matters worse, after she blow-dried my hair - I think realizing her mistake by this point - she then proceeded to razor cut my hair ALL OVER to the point where I had layers above my ears. No one in their right mind would EVER do this to naturally curly/wavy hair. EVER. So after butchering my hair, she then proceeds to blame it on my hair growth - saying that I have so much volume at my crown, but not the same amount of volume below my crown and that it's ""strange."" First of all, I have never had a stylist remark on this before, and no, I haven't starting losing hair overnight. Secondly, even if this were true, ANY stylist with half a sense tosses your hair around and gets a sense of your texture and thickness/volume/growth pattern, etc. before he/she starts cutting it. These screw-ups on her part are very troubling signs of inattention to basic details that I cannot condone - not listening to me, messing up the cut, razoring it all over to cover her mistakes, and then blaming it on my hair growth - it was a nightmare. I can't tell you how bad this experience was, other than to say that instead of me paying $85 for this butcher of a job, JP Salon should be paying me the $85 for my trouble and blow to self-esteem. I suspect some of these reviews on here are not authentic. Especially the ones that are vague on details or specific occurances. It's a pretty common tactic on CS unfortunately, so I say buyer beware.. I had to wait over a year to grow out the awful haircut.
