Artistic Hair was recommended to me by 2 different friends, unknown to each other. I was in town for a weekend wedding and was desperate to get my hair done without investing a lot more than I already had for this expensive weekend. They were willing to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment, unlike many other salons in town. I was very pleased with the friendly atmosphere & care they took with my hair. Oh, and the hair....FABULOUS! I'm sorry to say I can't remember the stylist's name, but she HOOKED ME UP! She decided against giving me a typical boring up-do & the only way to describe my hair when she was done is ""sculpture."" And she made good recommendations for caring for my super-dry hair but didn't try to make me buy any products. All the other bridesmaids were jealous of my up-do. No stupid Shirley Temple curls. The only downside is that they are CASH ONLY. I had to go to a corner store to use their ATM. Still totally worth it & next time I'm in Philly I will definitely return!
