Review content:
I have lived at the Pearl for 3 months and until recently I have I been mostly satisfied. It is certainly a safe and clean place to live. However, today something happened that cannot go unaddressed. Over the weekend I left a sealed letter for another tenant, who also happens to work for the property, in the main office asking for help with a very simple maintenance related issue (I had a stripped screw stuck in my wall). The office woman whom I gave the letter to told me that she would deliver it to him personally. Rather than doing that, she proceeded to open the letter, read it, and then inform this man's supervisor that he was performing maintenance work for tenants without following formal proceedings. Because it takes about a week for maintenance requests to be followed up on around here, and because I know and trust this individual, I decided to write him a letter directly asking for his help as my neighbor rather than filing a maintenance order. Now perhaps this is ""breaking the rules,"" although such a thing is nowhere stipulated in the lease; however, I suggest that opening and reading a tenant's mail, and lying to another tenant's face are far more egregious acts. This one time incident aside, potential tenants should know that while the property appearance is nice and well kept, the descriptions of the amenities on the website are preposterous and misleading--the so called ""lakes"" are algae ridden duck fountains at best and the ""dog park"" is a dusty dog toilet, not a park. (That being said, there is a very nice, grassy dog park at Bullhead Park which is only a 5min walk from the complex). While on the subject of hyperbole, the so called ""spa"" is is actually a seasonal hot tube, and likening the fitness center to anything close to ""state of the art"" is laughable. Overall I have enjoyed living here and I am not suggesting that this is a bad place to live. I am simply warning potential tenants who value privacy that the management here is dishonest and should not be trusted.
