I have to disagree with calicrowned. I have ordered close to one hundred cakes from Home Bakery over the last twenty-five years, including birthday, wedding and shower cakes. I have never been disappointed. When my children were young and wanted a particular theme, I would simply give the idea and the decorators took it from there. I was always amazed by the creativity and perfection of the designs. As far as taste, I very much disagree with you. Not only are there many batter and filing choices, but they are all delicious. Always moist and fresh. The buttercream frosting is wonderful and just as good is their poured chocolate topping. I can't imagine comparing a Home Bakery cake to a Kroger cake......there is simply no comparison. Perhaps I have not sampled as many cakes in my lifetime as you apparently have, but I know what tastes good! As far as customer service is concerned.......I have NEVER had a negative experience. Every time I've been in the bakery I have been waited on quickly and politely. When I ordered a wedding cake for my sister, I was very pleased with the attentive manner of the staff and the choices I was give. This is a wonderful bakery and I will be a life-long customer.
