I was interested in buying a Samsung 40"" tv, but the salesman convinced me to buy the 42"" LG TV instead. After putting it together & turning it on the picture quality was terrible, to the point that it even hurt my eyes. I took it back to the store & the same salesman asked me if I had HD at home. I had no idea that I had to subscribe to HD in order to get the picture quality that was on their displays, now that was a small, but important detail he should have mentioned,. I then took it back home called my cable company to set up HD programming . Later plugged in my camera through the USB component on the TV but it was unable to read the files, I then connected it to my PC & that didn't work either. A couple days later, my new tv won't even turn on, so I took it back to the store, explained the situation, to the store manager, he didn't even apologize for the huge inconveniance, only offered to swap it with another LG , even though I was very unhappy with this specific brand. The purchase receipt states that you are entitled to a full refund with in 30 days if you are unhappy with the merchandise, his argument was that the box had to be factory sealed, now how in the world are you to know whether you like the product if you can't even take it out of the box? (MAKE ANY SENSE?) since I was only getting in store credit if I wanted to buy the 40"" Samsung tv that I was originally interested in, but they didn't have any in stock. I asked if I could buy the Samsung display since they were out , but he refused. I was stuck the other tv's were either too small or too expensive, not much to choose from. After an entire hour of trying to negotiate with this manager he finally agreed to selI me the display TV, in ""Federal Way"" (UNBELIEVABLE) I am just sorry that I hadn't read the previous review before stepping a foot in that store, it was by far one of my worst shopping experiences ever. I just hope that this review will help future shoppers. Cons: bad customer service, unrealistic return policy
