Review content:
I brought in my grandfather's pocketwatch from the early 60's to find out the value of it. I had been in contact with the manufacturer overseas as well searched for weeks online trying to find this watch. I can't find this model ANYWHERE in the world. So I hand my MINT watch to a lady at Greenbrier Pawn and she says she has an X-ray machine to test if it's real gold. I said OK and let her test it. She comes back and says its heavily gold plated which was fine, I knew the value wasn't just in the gold but in the watch itself. I came home later that night and began to take pictures of the watch to post online and to send the company for more info. As I turned the watch over to take the first picture I saw where the woman at Greenbrier Pawn had SCRATCHED the back of the watch to ""test it"". I called first thing the next morning and asked to speak to a manager who began to tell me it was my fault and that that was the only way to test it. NOW, if she was going to have to DESTROY a mint condition pocketwatch shouldn't she have said something along the lines of "" I am gonna have to scrape this to test it""? At that point I would have turned and walked out. Instead she has damaged a watch who's value is unknown at the moment but well over a few hundred dollars as this is what the sister model sells for used. I am apalled and disgusted at this place and the next call to them will be from my lawyer. STAY AWAY if you don't want your items destroyed! . Pros: Location Cons: Don't bring anything you don't want destroyed
