As I did not want to freeze the leftover bacon but will buy fresh bacon in a couple of days later, I ordered 8 pieces of bacon. I did not know it was such a bad idea or would make me a cheap shopper. An elderly man at the store took my order and yelled at me, ?8 pieces? Honey, this is America, you don't order by piece but by pounds, you're a cheap shopper, you're a cheap shopper!? I was so upset and shocked!! Then I spoke to another worker who told me that the man is the father of the store owner and has problems with Asians.
Yes, I?m an Asian. I am not sure why I should be treated like that at your store by the man. I don?t think he should work there or treat customers in that manner. This is really upsetting and disappointing. I truly hope this type of discriminatory and racist interaction does not ever happen again. This is America. I should be able to buy what I want without having to face racism.
