It's embarrassing that the negative feedback in here are from those who can't write like the one two comments below mine. I'm here to refute those poorly written and highly emotive ones. SHS is a great school for the kids and family as well. It's academically sound, with most, if not all, spilling into the private Catholic high school after graduation, well-mannered and prepared for more challenges. Sometimes, I think the kids get too much homework or are held up to too much responsibility at such young ages. Yet, they seem to thrive. SHS is also very open and warm to all parents. However, it is also a microcosm of the larger population, so there will be disagreements between parents and with administration. That aside, I believe the first priority should be on the children, and the School does provide a fertile learning environment in a communal setting. It is a private school, which means tuition is high, and there are numerous volunteer and financial commitments asked from the parents. SHS is no different in that area. Pros: academics & community Cons: perhaps too much homework
