Businiess name:  Old Mill House Of Pancakes

Review content:
Too bad there is not an option of no star. I didn't even get the food. We decided on Williamsburg for our honeymoon. And with there being roughly 300 pancake joints, figured we would swing by the one that sounded the most appealing. Not such a good idea. We walked in to a very eerie silence. That was followed up by a very nervous waitress who provided us fairly decent coffee. Upon looking at the menu, I decided on a combination platter, but instead of buttermilk pancakes, I wanted to substitute blitzes. I fully intended, and made my intentions well known that I was A-OK with paying extra for this substitution. The waitress immediately started apologizing, and told us that she would ask, but she doubted it and pretty much acted like she was in absolute fear. But, she asked. And the following 5 minutes was a lady in the kitchen screaming at the top of her lungs, ""NO! THEY HAVE TO BUY TWO MEALS, NO SUBSTITUTIONS!"" It was plain as day, and very loud. Of course, the waitress, returns to let me know. And I am pretty much livid. Having been a manager before, that is not how you treat your employees nor is it how you treat your PAYING customers. All she had to say is it was against policy. But no, she had to create a scene. So, we opted to leave, paying only for our coffee (if I wasn't fearful of the crochety old bat calling the cops on me, I would have left without paying for said overpriced coffee--two cups were $4) She happened to be at the register so I loudly voiced my opinion that her policies are ridiculous and the fact I could hear her in the dinning room was absolutely insane. She launched into a rant of how she has been doing this 30 years, and she has paid her dues, as if we hadn't?! Excuse me, no. We pay our taxes, we pay our bills, we work, and we do not live in debt. Yeah, no clue what the food tastes like, but I will NEVER eat here and I hope no one else ever will either. With someone who has such COMPLETE DISREGARD for her customers, the very ones who pay HER bills, she needs a reality check. Her employees work in fear of her and she obviously has no idea of what true customer service is. Sometimes, that alone is better that any food. This is the one and ONLY time I have EVER walked out of a restaurant!!!!
