My fiance and I were really interested in an artisan wedding ring for him and after much looking, found a beautiful piece at Gilt. We were bummed to hear the artist only works in silver, which is not a durable metal. My fiance asked a few questions about options for contacting the artist or taking a photo of the ring to another jeweler in town who said they could replicate the piece in another metal, etc. We were shocked to be treated so disrespectfully - the salesperson (maybe manager?) was defensive and loud and seemed incapable of gracefully educating us on the store's policy or protocol without broadcasting her voice throughout the store and making us feel talked down to and put off. She was incredibly unhelpful and lost a sale, as needless to say, I took the two rings I was seriously considering off my finger and we left the store very clear we would not purchase our wedding rings there.
