In a lil' nook in Palo Alto lies this gem of a restaurant. My fiancee and I strolled in and were fortunate to have found bar seats given that they're generally fully booked (call for reservations) up for the night. As always with a new restaurant I went right for one of the specials (gives you some insight into the quality of their food) and was thoroughly delighted by their duck confit with polenta and green beans. While I'm not usually a duck fan, the preparation here was incredible with a sauce that brought all of the flavors together like an epicurean symphony. My fiancee had their prosciutto wrapped salmon dish, which if that description alone doesn't do it, trying it will surely render you hopelessly enamored with this restaurant. I had to steal 3 or 4 bites from her, as it too was delicious. The proprietors, Jen & Mike, are there every night, and from my brief conversation with them, have a true passion for their trade. Heck, they eat there every night too, so you can be sure that the meals are never boring. If you're in Palo Alto, I highly recommend stopping by this neighborhood place off the beaten path of Palo Alto's other more "pop" appeal restaurants.
