THE WORST FOOD SERVICE EVER! Solar Powered or Not, I am not impressed. And the worst policies for vendors who are there for 12-14 hours per day. You cannot bring any food in, even if you are working there. The only food options we had the entire day was shitty Chinese, gross Mexican- with no cheese, and ice cream cones- Seriously. It was disgusting. The cafe that served other food was closed the entire day- on a Saturday. There was not a healthy option in the place. The only veggies were either drenched in MSG or spices. Not even something remotely tastey. Your only choice is rancid ethnic food that will turn your stomach or soft serve ice cream in a building that is already freezing. And I mean freezing, it is uncomfortable when you feel the A/C blowing down on you when it is 45 degrees out. I had to work 12+ hours there and almost passed out because I could not get away long enough to actually get away from the convention center to get a meal that I could eat. I wish I had passed out actually. Then, they might have change their policies or add at least 3 or 4 more food stand options- at least one of them being healthy, in the actual convention halls. As a vendor working the event, I was absolutely miserable the whole time!
