I made an appointment for a blowout with some loose curls for an event I was attending. I showed up and showed my stylist what I wanted. She said not to shampoo because it would make the curls fall (which is really what I wanted, just loose curls for some added body) and I told her for it to fall around my face how I wanted it to it would probably have to be blow dried. She said she could get it how I wanted it without that. So I skeptically said okay. When all was said and done, I spent maybe 20 minutes in her chair and all she did was curl my hair. Instead of the loose I had tight and was told it would fall over the course of the night (it actually never did) so I ended up looking like a ""cheerleader"" as one other stylist described me...lol..Don't get me wrong it was okay, just not what I had hoped for. And she was really nice, I gave her a good review, but that was before I was given the bill! But the biggest shocker came when I went to check out. I was charged $50 for just a curl!!! The most expensive cut with a master stylist there is advertised at $55. I got no shampoo, no blow dry, no up do, nothing, just a curl. I almost fell over when I was told the total. I thought maybe i just read the prices wrong online (went back and checked, I didn't), or maybe I was just out of the loop, but everyone I spoke to about it said that was a ridiculous price for just curling my hair. Lesson learned, make sure you get a price up front. If she had told me she was charging me that much, I would have politely declined and done it myself! Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Price
