Hofstra's School of Communication faculty and alumni had such a wonderful time on the Spirit of New York last June, we jumped on booking our second cruise this summer!
Sure, working out the details with a university legal staff can be tedious but Margaret at Spirit was SOOO incredibly patient and willing to make it work. Definitely worth the battle.
The staff on board could not have been more helpful - the DJ, the bartenders, the wait staff. I had a minor issue that was resolved immediately and I couldn't be more pleased. And their ticket people were wonderful, too!
The food was fine - not great - but our open bar package and great service more than made up for that. I brought our famous Hofstra cookies and that was a big hit, too. (Some places won't allow food in.)
The only complaint I got from everyone was that the 90 minutes was too short. Wish there were a way to add half an hour at minimal cost, but there isn't so we're going to do 90 minutes again. I have no doubt we'll get a great turnout.
