never use this store! I went to carpet depot in levittown but heard same owner owns several stores so buyer beware!
I was Given a low ball price based on what I said I thought the measurements of my room might be. I was told to leave a deposit of $600 to measure and that order and price was contingent upon what the actual measurements were for the room. This was on 11/12/05. The measuring man came on 11/14/05 in the afternoon. On 11/15/05 the owner of the store Steve called me to tell me that due to the differences in the measurements that the price went up $454.00. I decided that this was too much to spend on a carpet and told him that I would be in the store sometime today to discuss things with him. I later tried to get my check back to rip it up and was told that the check had already been sent to the bank for cashing. I was also told by extremely nasty, condescending salesmen that I would owe money for a canceled order!!! What order. As of this same morning they didn't even have the measurements for the room. I ended up stopping the check and fighting with the owner on the phone who again was rude& condescending . Bottom line I lost $30.00 instead of $600.00 but I do not take kindly to being taken advantage of or tricked or cheated. I will complain to every agency and person who will listen because shady businessmen don't deserve our time or our money.
