Review content:
Upon arrival, I had no issues with the service. However, I was unaware that I was being charged several fees that I did not approve on. When I brought the vehicle back, the representative, Tracy, at the counter was completely boggled and said she couldn't help us. Asking for a manager, she proceeded to tell her manager, Lisa (who was not present but called in), that we were ""complaining"". Being calm this whole time, I certainly did not appreciate the comment. Lisa, asked to speak with me via the phone. Explaining to her the concerns I had with the additional charges that were not communicated at the time of rental, she told me several times she didn't understand why I was upset, continued to interrupt me, and refused to help because I had ""signed a contract"". Not sure about anyone else, but I did not get a contract to sign - it was verbally agreed upon, then I signed a computer. End of story, I called the customer service line and had the charges removed, but his service wasn't any bit more pleasant.
2 lessons learned:
1. Be sure to request a physical contract prior to signing anything with a rental company.
2. Never, ever rent with Hertz again.
