Review content:
This spa is nice, although hard to locate as it is below a bank. A friend and I were interested in body wrap treatments designed to help eradicate some inches of water weight. We were looking to be wrapped tightly in seaweed type bandages. We both made appointments one day apart at Skin Care at the Waverly. What the receptionist described and what the phyto marine treatment actually was were two very different things! Furthermore, although she and I booked the same service, we had completely different treatments! This could not have been due to the different spa technicians as they explained their own variances. My treatment included a quick facial, and her face was not touched during her treatment whatsoever. She was wrapped in a foil blanket and left to lay for 20 minutes, I was never wrapped in a blanket nor at any time did the attendant leave. What I basically got was a fancy massage with oils.....and neither of us got the body countouring that the treatment promised! How could a massage countour a body? Clearly Skin Care at the Waverly knows what people expect with a countouring body wrap....and it is not what we got! Pros: quality products, nice attendants Cons: treatments not as described or terribly effective
